BOUNDARY COUNTY
Public Information

Press Release: February 28, 2019
From: Sheriff Dave Kramer

There have been several recent burglaries in the area just south of the City limits and in the City. The City Police and the Sheriff’s office have been working closely on these investigations. As a result the Sheriff’s Office Detectives were able to obtain two search warrants that were served on February 27th on a vehicle and apartment in connection to the thefts.
Several items identified as stolen have been identified, and a suspect is in custody after he was arrested by Undersheriff Stephens for possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. This case is still under investigation pending formal charges being filed against the suspect. The Detectives appreciated the cooperation of the victims that were able to provide clues that helped lead the Detectives to the suspect.
The working relationship between the City Police and the Sheriff’s Office on tracking down and arresting people using and selling drugs and committing thefts is such a positive working relationship as it should be in looking out and protecting our community. I am extremely grateful to the Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office and the Officers from both departments; we have a great team serving Boundary County.
